We provide a range of metal and scrap metal recycling services, any amount! We can provide you with any size skip or you can deliver your scrap to our waste transfer station. We always recycle our waste including our metal collections, we strive to ensure as little as possible is dumped into landfills.
We have grown from a small site in Harmby, Leyburn to, in 2011, a large, fully licensed waste transfer facility in Brompton on Swale, Catterick. There are now 35 of us at R and J Farrow Ltd, to help keep up with the growing demand for environmentally responsible waste disposal, including scrap metal recycling.
Focused as we are on recycling, we ensure as little of your waste as possible is sent to landfill. During a typical month we process around 25 tonnes of waste, only 5% of which goes to landfill. The other 95% is sent on to further licensed facilities throughout Yorkshire and beyond for recovery and re-use. We work closely with the Environment Agency, ensuring we are fully compliant with regulations and up to date with new developments. We hold the newly required WAMITAB certifications giving us Environment Agency approval to run our transfer and treatment facility.
All legal obligations are fulfilled when your waste is brought in to us; waste is weighed in on our purpose built weighbridge, which generates a waste transfer note for ourselves and our clients.We will also provide waste management reports on request. Permits for the sites we use for disposal of your waste are available on request.
